I purchased new a standard cab s/b V6 5 sp in 1990 and put 125,000mi's on it in three years. It never let me down but I was never impressed with the V6 power.
Two months ago I purchased an '02 - same truck basically - but with the 2.7 four. It feels just as strong as the 3.0 in my old truck.
105,000 miles and it runs like new -

AH to be 17 again. The gas mileage will definatly be better in a pickup but you can get a lot of :censor: from the ladies in the back of a wagon!:)

I own both a 62 and a '92 22RE standard 4x4 pickup. Since acquiring the PU, I don't drive the Cruiser much because the smaller size and better MPG of the pickup is preferable for most applications. I need the PU for some work duties, and it's great to have the open bed for dump runs, building materials, etc. The 62 does have a smoother ride, however, and can't be replaced by the PU for ski trips and family expeditions. You probably can't get much money for the 60, so might as well own two Toyotas.

I say the more the merrier, I currently have three and would gladly add a forth if the right one presented itself, and I had a place to put it. :)
