60 Series up for auction in Pittsburg, KS

One of my buddies at work informed me this morning that his dad's auction company will be auctioning off a 60 series Land Cruiser on Sunday November 7th in Pittsburg, KS. He will be talking with his dad to get more details and pictures.

I own a company in Pittsburg so I stopped and looked at it. I have seen it sitting in the yard for several years. Very rough. Parts truck is about all it would be good for. Rusted out and rough inside. Dont think its been started in years.

I heard yesterday the 60 went for $3,500, much more than the low mileage Dodge pick up. My buddy said all of us Land cruiser guys are nuts for spending big bucks on old trucks. eh, what does he know he's got a boat and throws money in the lake weekly in the summer.

There's no way that truck went for that much. It was a total rust bucket piece of crap. I wouldnt have given 300 for it.
