I'm replacing my 396 chevy motor on 79 fj-40. It has 67 Camaro steering box, will 2004 Silverado steering pump work? Do i use 2 hose set up pump or block off 1 off exit holes? Also is ther a high pressure issue usung the truck pump?

That pump will work. The pressure side hose fitting at back of pump will be different. You can get a hose with proper end or change out the fitting in back of pump to the earlier version. The later models use an O-ring - early uses a flare IIRC.

Or flare to o-ring adapter...

I was able to use the same HP hose I had on my Saginaw 2f power steering setup when I did my LS swap by putting this little bad boy in the back of the stock 2001 Silverado 5.3 PS pump.
