This is my 1996 Toyota Prado TZ, shortly after I purchased the A343F transmission started to slip and the OD light was flashing. I did service with new solenoids, no change. I believe the coolant mixed with the Transmission fluid before I bought it. The Rad was replaced before it left Japan.

The prado is the 3.4L. I purchased a 1997 4Runner 5 speed transmission and t-case. I had to swapped the sleeve from the 4Runner t-case input-shaft over to my factory full time 4wd t-case input shaft, which made everything mate up perfectly, same bolt pattern and spline count.

T-100 master cylinder
4Runner clutch kit
Custom clutch line
Speed sensor still reads off factory t-case
Currently the transmission range switch is still plugged in, I plan on running the NSS to the clutch pedal and hooking up the reverse switch.
Clutch pedal is a factor prado pedal sourced from a seller in Pakistan on a US Facebook Prado group, seemed like a scam but my pedal and center console trim arrived a month later.

Transmission mount is for the 97 4Runner transmission and the holes lined up with my factory crossmember.

Manual transmission was 1.5in shorter, so the had my driveshafts rebuilt and resized.

I would have preferred a manual transmission prado anyway, so this worked out. Total cost was $2000 with the rebuilt driveshafts. Very happy with how it’s driving now.
