5 speed questions

What transfer case will I need if I upgrade to toyota 5 speed?
Right now I have the stock 4 speed tranyy with the stock transfer case.

Also will I have to modify the tranmission tunnel for the 5 speed?

which truck do you have? which "stock 4sp" do you have?

FJ60's do not need tunnel conversions.
1979+ FJ40's do no need tunnel conversions
I doubt FJ55's would.
1966 45 wagons do need the rear lower edges cleared out or a 1/2" body lift.

you need a split case, at least 1983 or later and you can only really tell an '83 if you have it off the tranny to look for oiler cup provision and bearing recess.
