Is that how all of this got started. :confused: I thought that the question was what 5 speed case would plug and play behind a 3B?:meh: All that being said what exactly is the correct letter designator from Toyota for an engine equipped OEM with an intercooler? At this point in the thread I'm not sure that this is still actually a hijack. If this still considered a hijack, minor tangential hijack over.:cheers::popcorn:

I don't think there is one.

The 1HD-FTE in the 78/79 series does not have an intercooler, but in the 100 series it does, same designation with and without intercooler.
 
And a fair few more ponys with the 100 series , supposably they have stronger internals than the 78,9 series
