Hi guys,

A few things that I wanted opinions about.
My rig (1985 4Runner, AC, Automatic)

I just bought a 5 speed and transfer case out of another 1985 and I wanted to know if anyone had ever swapped out an auto for a manual.

Do I need the computer out of the 5 speed truck?

Are the pedal brackets completely different? I assume that I need the entire assembly?

Drive Shafts different?

Other comments or ideas?

My automatic is working great but I could not pass up this deal.

Anyone know of a lift kit for sale? Rear bumper? Sliders?

Good set of 31"-33" tires?

Thanks
Craig

driveshafts??? You'll be lengthening/shortening them anyway when you install the dual cases. :D

I recently gave away everything needed to swap a manual into an auto truck right down to the slave cylinder hard line and brackets...dam.

I did the swap about 3 year back. Call me if you have any questions. You will need to get shorter bellhousing bolts for the top two.

The pedal bracket should already have a place for the clutch pedal...mine did.

I have a pic of all the additional parts I had to buy to complete the swap. IF you need it let me know and I'll send it your way.
