45 Exhaust Routing

It is time to replace the muffler on my 45 pick-up. The current system runs below the t/c skid plate and, of course, is flat on the bottom. I can't seem to find any photos or diagrams that show the system in relation to the rest of the undercarrige.

The skid plate has a rounded notch in the front upturned part but I am sure that is for the PTO shaft. I also wonder if the pipe was on the upper side of the skid plate would the heat make the floor too hot.

Can any one confirm or deny that the exhaust pipe runs above the skid plate and can you back up your position with pics.

It's just that it affects the breakover angle and I can't see Toyota making the exhaust pipe the first piece of the truck to scrape the ground.

run it high and dont let it get below the frame. I good exhaust guy needed. Put a semi stack on like me.

Hey Mike,

That semi-stack looks realy cool, but it would get pulled off on the first trail I went on. The trees around here are killer.
