damn I wish I had the cash... although I don't know if I could canibalize the mog to make a crawler
 
if it's a 404, it's going to have a gasser six banger, think it was an M180. Diesel swaps with stateside engines weren't exactly successful unless they were turbo engines.

If you want a diesel (from the factory) mog, you're looking at a 406, 416, or something more modern than that and WAY more expensive. The 406/416 came with an OM352, somewhere in the neighborhood of 5.7 liters, and somewhere between 110-130 hp, and you're capped around 50 mph unless you find one with taller gears than most of them had.
