Anyone have pictures of what a rig would look like with a 4 inch lift and 31s or 32s? My 33s are killing my power and they are a little on the big side for what I do with my rig, but I don't want to have it looking crazy either. Would just like to be able to maintain 75 or even 65 up inclines...lol.

It will probably look funny with that much lift and small of tires. Mine looks funny with just trimmed fenders and 30's. Have you looked at re-gearing to 4.30 or 4.88 gearing, both of which can be found in stock Toyota's?

Yeah, gears should be easy(er) to find since you're already IFS...

Same deal with me. If I wanted to get 4:88's for my 84, I'd have to find two trucks with 4:88's.

You, the front should be right there.

I'd either re-gear or strip and sell the lift and get me an Aussie locker.

Keep an eye out for LC springs and just get some BJ spacers...

Thanks for the response. I thought about regearing and then got the price tag of minimum 1200..so was trying to find a less expensive option. However, I just put 32s on it tday and wow what a difference. Looks suprisingly awesome and the power is back. Went from 33s that were 12.5 inches wide to 32s that are 11.5 inches wide. Doesn't seem like that would make a difference but it made a huge difference... Have all my power back!

There is an inexpensive option.

Have a look in the FAQ in the gear section and get the door and paint code for factory 4:56 or 4:88's.

Then just keep an eye out on CL, EBay or your local Pull-a-Part.

There is/was a guy here in Nashville selling both 4:88 diffs for $400...

Yep, pul a part can get you front and rear thirds for around $150 for both. You have to do the work yourself though and hope they are still good. Also you will see if FAQ, but the rear factory 4.88 is not as easily regeared if you decide to change down the road.

I think I have 4.56 gears based off of the code on the door. But, the wheels worked out well. 32s and new wheels with my 4inch lift. I love it. My old rims were heavier than these and the wheels seemed to be a lot heavier than these 32s. I have plenty of pick up now.

Ok, 4:56 was what you had with the stock 28" tire...

Now subtracting .10th per inch, calculate what you need to get it back to stock... Well, as close as you'll get anyway.

Gears won't allow for the added weight and rolling resistance your new tires have...
