I've been running an'85 W56 behind a '92 4.3 for better than eight(8) years now. 33's then 35's, 4:10's, MC 4.7 dual case. Been through Fordyce, 'Con and many others.

Use your head when you drive and you'll be fine.

X2 on the W-56 being ok behind the 4.3.......... as long as you drive with the simple understanding that the throttle is pressed to move the vehicle forward....... not to mercilessly stomp on it to break sh*t when you're stuck, Maybe that's why some love those GM slushboxes so much
