i bought one of those triple drilled drive flanges. and i was wondering if i can just zip that nut off the stock flange and put on the new one? or will that mess up the ring gear crush sleeve

What year truck/differential are you working on?

Not all Toyota mini truck differentials came with crush sleeves from the factory.

You can pull the nut but be careful when putting the new flange back on. Too much torque and you will crush the sleeve and not enough and you won't have enough preload.
