Hi

Anyone find, make, or modify attachment accessories for the 3rd Gen Sequoia TRD rack? Thinking I should have had the dealer remove it. I like that it doesn’t cover the pano roof but…
  1. Even the Thule Platform uses channel that allows for easy attachment - they have a nice set bars for roof box attachment.
  2. You can’t attach roof box to standard TRD rack
  3. No available accessories to attach standard overlanding gear
Thinking I am going to have to start drilling and making? Would like to attach Prinsu side window panels to hold gear as well.

Anyway interested in hearing if anyone has started this journey.

Thx Bill

Ditch it. It maxes out at 132lbs and its noisy.
There are full roof options and they do not require any drilling. I went with the Prinsu rack

Yes I was going to do that as well - do you have the pano roof, how is it with Prinsu? I’ve always been confused with rack ratings - they all us the OEM hard points - I guess Prinsu has a forward landing pad as well - the OEM rack is very stout and leave pano with a nice view - for people and StarLink.

Yea, I have the pano roof. I have the low profile prinsu rack and you can't open it completely, tilt is fine though.

Thx for the quick reply - you have me now seriously thinking of a Prinsu - have you attached a topper box to yours - not thinking of doing that for serious camping/overlanding but rather for those times when routinely traveling?

I see Thule has topper box supports for their platform rack, thinking those might work.

Final question is have you run power to the rack area? Looking for a clean way to get power up there for light bar, some side and rear lights. Also, perhaps for the StarLink as right now we use it thru the Pano roof and that may be somewhat blocked by the Prinsu.

Your thoughts appreciated…. Thx Bill

Yep. Done it all.

I have a 50” bar and 2 pods for chase lights in the rear. I had side lights but removed them because of the awning.

I have the wires ran down the passenger side windshield and used the KC wire hider to hide the wires.
