Folks

I am interested in adding a front hitch receiver to a 2026 Sequoia. I would like to do this in a manner that doesn’t require removal of the hitch in order to remove the skid plate to change the oil/filter.

It appears that the stock skid plate (Limited w/ TRD Off-road Package) doesn’t have an “oil change access panel”. Not sure if Toyota or others make a skid plate with an access panel that will fit.

I am also having difficulty finding a front receiver for a 3rd Gen. I haven’t yet reached out directly to the supplier suspects so there may be a reason they aren’t available.

Any thoughts and ideas greatly appreciated.

Thx Bill

A little update on what I have found….

There are many companies that make front receivers for 2nd Gen Sequoias. When I reached out to Curt they said that they are not making one for 3rd Gen “due to fitment” - whatever that means.

I was in Toyota Service and asked. They said Toyota and btw Ford for 150 recommends agains anything (receivers or plows) in front of the turbo intercooler due to air flow restrictions. Whether this is b.s. or not clearly no one is making an easy to bolt on receivers.

Btw, I do see folks using plows with both Tundras and Ford 150’s.

Thx Bill
