3rd Gen 4runner Seats into 2nd Gen?

I just bought a 95 4runner (with leather) that needs all new seats. I'd like to replace them with some from a 98 4runner.Can this be done, or has anyone done it? I can't imagine they are that much different, but want to know before I try and find some.

3rd gens are wider...

mounting is different. Width wise they fit.

Not sure, but if you can swap the brakets, that would obviously work. I welded a 3rd gen seat to my floor in my 88 4runner....hahaha. It worked great and I could mount it however I wanted, Low and back....comfy. too bad the seat was uncomfortable. the sr5 5 or 6 way adjustable 2nd gen seats are way comfier.

I would say I will check later, but the seat is burried behind my unmoveable truck and its -15 wind chills here. So im not going to lie to you.
