That would be Dire Straits??? Right? Warren Zevon??

Great, I guess we have to listen to an hour long diatribe about how Rush is the greatest band that ever toured.

not my style. just like 'em.

found it here: http://www.neilpeart.net/news/index.html

"Lately, the term has been adopted by drivers and riders who deliberately avoid all major roads. We were somewhere near a dot on the map with the unlikely name of Volcano, West Virginia. After several miles of graded gravel through deep woods and occasional subsistence farms, the road had narrowed to a pair of gravel tracks with grass between them, then deteriorated to this abandoned old logging road. It might have been untended for fifty or a hundred years, and was apparently only used by hunters in deer season. Their high-clearance 4x4s had dredged deep ruts through mud, rocks, and roots, and we made at least twenty water crossings, the muddy surface a hazard impossible to guess until we plunged through it in a fountain of brown spray."

He rode a street legal bike through some of the stuff we drive through.

look what the cat dragged in. thought maybe you had thrown in the towel after your rough weekend. I never doubted you.

Lets go to the river soon Lash.

Thanks for you confidence Barry.

Looks like the GunRunner will be down for repairs for a while. The cage is probably not too safe in its current shape. It is actually pushing the top of the tub outwards on the driver's side. Hopefully it is not bent, but just being pushed. I'm counting on it popping back into shape as soon as I unbolt the cage which will be this weekend.

Anyone have any input on the new MetalTech cage design?

I'm looking into a dash box to replace the smashed dash pad. A dash cover won't work if your dash is not in the proper shape. An aftermarket high-density foam OEM style pad is $385 + shipping from $OR. The Dashbox is $265 + shipping, so it looks like the way to go. More lockable storage is a plus since my Tuffy console is pretty full.

Still looking for a windshield frame, but I might have a line on one.

Wish me luck

need to rename the Gun Runner the 6 Million Dollar 40

Gun Runner, Toyota Land Cruiser. A 40 barely warped. Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic 40. Gun Runner will be that 40. Better than she was before. Better, stronger, faster.

Lash anything I can do let me know. I will get Greg right on it.:grinpimp:

Lash, the dash box is pretty cool, but you could buy a used dash in decent condition dirt cheap off fleabay, then but a dashtop on there for under $100. Good luck.

Lash,
Get in touch with Joe if your cage does not straighten out. He has a full Metal Tech cage sitting in my shop (need assembling) that I am sure he will give you a deal on...seeing as he has no FJ40 now.
Brent

Lash, Doc has a windshield frame from Tetanus.

Won't work unless the wiper motor is on the bottom. Will work if he want's to run the old style wipers.

Later,

It will work better than the one he has now.

Just trying to help. Sorry for that now! Call me Lash.
Later,

Lash anything I can do let me know. I will get Greg right on it.:grinpimp:
