3M Weld-thru Coating II - Anyone use it, Comments?

I was thinking about getting some of this stuff for my Saginaw P.S. plates I'm welding onto my 40.

FWIW, anything with a high zinc content can effectively do the same thing. Body guys use that in between panels and then scuff off the spot to be welded... but for about 1/4 of the price of one of those 3m cans, but it looks as though the 3m stuff is truly weld through, that'd be cool.
