Wanted 3FE Engine Wanted!!!

Looking for a 3FE engine to put in my '92 FJ80. I am located in Houston, TX.

Not what you are looking for I am sure, but I have a rebuilder.

The 3FE that was in it was knocking very bad. It has been taken apart and looks pretty bad. I was told that it is more cost effective to go with a rebuilt or another engine rather than rebuild. What kind of shape is your engine in?

most wrecking yards have a locator service . iknow you paymore but i was able to get 1 with 70,000 on it for 800.00 because it was wrecked and sat in the yard good luck

have good runner in NH, rusty 89 fj62. will check mileage~140K i think
pulling truck in today/tommorrow to part out; transfer and drivers side doors gone
would sell engine for $850

I didn't hear a knock but two dead cylinders so I figured head gasket. $200

I am guessing that the 98 FJ62 will mount perfectly in an 92 FJ80? Any other modifications that I would have to do? FJ80s are new to me, but I think they have the same engines. If nothing wrong with your engine and it's simple to install, I am interested.

i think there are some differences, i think it had to do with electronics. post the question in the 80's section and 60-62's tech section and u should get the correct answer. oh ya 3fe POWA!

I found a 91 3FE that will fit right in my 92. Found it here in Houston and got it with wiring, hoses and delivered to the shop for $920 w/tax.
