3f oil pressure

I have recently replaced my tired 3f with another 3f that has done approx 180000 kms in my fj73. The old engine used to show slightly less oil pressure as the engine warmed up. The replacement engine gains pressure as it warms up. Is this normal?
This seems strange to me.

Your new engine is probably expanding and closing up the tolerances. My 3F oil pressure would shoot up to where it should be and slowly go down a little once warm.

Mine to. Goes to 3rd mark then to center. Once hot on hiway just over lower mark. At idle just above bottom. Turned 329thousand miles on today's trip to Spirit Sands.

impressive for a petrol engine.
Is that original rings and head?
