3b starting issues

Hey guys iv been having a bit of a problem with my truck 1989 bj73 starting when cold.
Turns over fine then when I turn the key back to after it's fired i loose all power, dash lights etc and engine dies too,
Sometimes when im driving car completely dies with dash lights etc off also. Car turns on straight away, put clutch in and turn key and away I Go,
Any one had any issues similar?
New batteries awhile ago they are both good as I have no trouble turning car over etc

It also starts straight away when warm after work most of the time just hard when its cold first thing in the morning

I had something like this recently.
The service manual tells you how to check the starter key switch with an ohmmeter.

I have the BJ74 which does not have glow plugs.
I was never quite sure which diagram I was supposed to use.
I don't have Connector B either.

I'm assuming you have redone all grounds eh. Fusible links in your system?not cracked?hard to chase lil bugaboo that is intermittent. Did this happen before battery swap? Good luck

Was a simple fix guys cheers for ur input was only the cable connecting the two batteries!
