I guess I should start with a hello.
We've just moved to the Island (from Whitehorse, and then Vancouver before that).
I've had a few dealings with the Vancouver Island crew over the years, but it'd be nice to meet-up, wrench, or heaven forbid, actually go wheeling sometime:
I actually parked beside Slowandsteady BJ's 60 series truck in the Whitehorse Canadian Tire, and saw the VI Cruiser's sticker in the window. And actually, come to think of it... the I bought the power steering (pump/box/pulley) from CrustyBJ60 about 10 years back (is he still in Aus?). Then Seapotato & I were emailing a few months back when he was thinking about swapping his 60 series for a 40/70 series.
Anyway, my 3B BJ42 just spat out it's crank pulley the day before christmas eve. To be specific, I need a crank pulley for a 3B with power steering (1983+), and the big (M14 M16?) bolt&washer. I may be able to salvage the actual PS pulley (mounts with 6 bolts), but I have to pull the radiator to get in there first.
I've tried Shawn Silva from his usedVic ad (no 3B parts left), and John at RADD is looking into his parts bins for the bolt and pulley, but he suggested I start pinging you folks to see if anyone has anything in their parts pile.
