2EVEREST,

I see your in VA, where abouts? Truck looks sick!!!!!!!!!!

hahaha ... No gears now ... Working on that! 4.88's would be back to stock, 5.29's are really low ...

But it's flat around here, so not too bad for now ...

-Josh

Yeah, J's all around, with the L shocks .. I'm moving up to the 5" Comps in front soon to level it out, and be able to run some weight in the front ..

Thank you for the comments ... I love the liner too !!!! simplicity ...

You'll definitely need spacers for the rear and the adjustable panhards. I also had to trim the inside of my wheel well where the little lip was to clear that on compression. Even with my backspacing and 12.50s I run the inside of the wheel wells a little (which is fine as long as you are centered with the panhard).

I also adjusted my steering bumpstops as I was rubbing both arms while being centered in the front as well. Most of that rubbing was just PS, but DS rubbed on compression turns as well. I had to secure some brake lines to avoid rubbing there, and am seriously considering the Slee 6" instead of my Js with spacers now.

I have 4.88s and they are basically bone stock ratios as my uncorrected speedo and odometer read accurately now. Not an issue at altitude with a ton of weight and a SC, but I'm looking into a smaller pulley and a methanol injection or intercooler setup.

80s look correct with 37s, not big, and wheel great with them. When I put my studded 33s on for the winter though, I'm gonna feel like I've got a slammed street truck, especially with my 0-60 times.

With 1" spacers on stock rims I have no rubbing....but I have trimmed up front for my tube bumper and in the rear of the rear wheel wells.

37's are perfect on an 80 in terms of looks and balance, on and offroad. Of course, I am running mine on a 3.5" lift :grinpimp:. I'd want 39's on a 6" lift (and new axles).

Your rig looks great with those rims/tires. 1" spacers will be perfect as will be about 1/2" wider than stock.

Yes, the 80's look very proportioned with 37's and I hear ya Nay ... With the height I'm at, I'm temped to talk about the 40's again !!!!

I won't though ...

I'm glad the 4.88's are dead on ... I wish we had a in between size (4.88 - 5.29)

Like 5.03 or something ...

I think the spacers will work well too ...

Thank you again fellas !!!!

-Josh

Nice tall white 80. How's the weather up there:flipoff2: No more problem on your TREs? I like your driveway, is that in Croatan?

The weather is shaky !!!! Actually, it's a client of ours in Birdneck Point, parent's in laws neighbor.

Take Care Noel,

-Josh

2everest in another thread a while back you said you hated wide tires. Now you got these wide ones. What's up with that?

He drank the Kool-Aid and became a convert.

We all do eventually......

Was that the blue kool or red?

Purple Drank !!!!

hahaha ... Actually, yeah, for the most part I do hate wide tires, but for the price I got these brand new, I couldn't pass it up ... I wanted 37x12.50's but my buddy's dad's friend had these for 6 months and had to leave the country ... I stole them for $500 at 95% tread ...

I think I will suck up the 1" more width for that price ...

-Josh

Looks good! Are they as noisy as they are reported to be?

Check the stuff on both sides, my 37's stuff centered, touch the frame evenly side to side with the stock panhards. On my setup, J's, L's, Tundra rims, 37x12.5 Coopers 1-1/4" wheel spacers work well.

Why don't you just get the 2" front spacers from Metal Tech?

nice rig, great tires. You'll like them on and off the trail, but they do howl going down the freeway

Yeah they do, actually not what you would think though, either that, or not annoying to me or my :princess:

Thanks,

-Josh

Do you have any closer pics of your truck that you can send me, or post? ... Is the front of the fender cut out, like where the stock dryer is mounted? .. That's a project I have been wanting to do

-Josh
