did you know advance adapters makes a 700R output shaft in a turbo 350
configuration allowing a direct bolt up to any factory turbo 350 setup.
You could toss the spacer and put a 203 doubler in there and only gain a couple inches....

already got the 700to 205..went a different route then what you were describeing, cost was 55$ for a 2in spacer and a little cutting:grinpimp:

I have a set of FJ62 rear springs and a set of FJ60 front springs.

I was trying to stay away from tearing the 700 down

i'm aware of the techpak/fitzall adapter but i'm not a huge fan of this unit in a cruiser since it makes for a very looooong powertrain combo. using the th350 adapter would make the combo 4" shorter which is why i recommended going that route.

My combo is exactly the same as his minus the techpak adapter, and the only difference is that 2" spacer. So, it would be 2" shorter, not 4. :P

For the cost of swapping the output shaft (which requires a full disassembly of the trans for those (like me) that aren't comfortable with DIY'ing an auto), I would be tempted to do the same thing he did.

I will make the 1 7/8" up somewere:grinpimp: like you said not real auto tranny savy so seemed like the way to go

I cut a 700R4 shaft down to TH350 length with a skinny wheel while the shaft was still in the tranny. No need to remove it.

yea i like that idea and wasnt sure if there was enough spline ,maybe i will take it back apart and take some more measurements

so i am kinda comited to this drive train now as i picked up a narrowed ,centered,fj80ff axle
