Need to replace my 10 spline with 30 to install an EZ Locker on my '67 FJ40.

Don't think I need anything else to accomplish this, but if so, let me know.

Thanks,

I had read that the axle shafts were interchangeable... assuming locker or spider gear change.

Is that not the case, or is there some other reason for your suggestion?

Trying to figure it all out... and I appreciate the help.

Late model FJ40 rear axles are easy to find and are cheap. They will have a thicker axles shaft since it does not have a bearing race like the early model. I would look for a 74 and newer model to get the 4 speed driveshaft (stronger). You'll have to change out the emergency brake drum for the 4 speed driveshaft pattern.

Thanks...

Guess I need one of those now

Thanks... thought it was possible.

Going to look at all the options. Seems like that's the easiest... and cheapest, but maybe in the long run a full swap is best.

Decisions...

Thanks for the heads up.

I'll take a look.
