I need to replace my exhaust system. The muffler shop told me they weren't able to get some of the parts through their venders and suggested I get the parts and they would do the install. I've read some post on this and some guys did switch to a single cat while I also read that there may be a lost in power. Seems like the cost difference isn't that much to make a difference. Also it seems MagnaFlow and Walker are parts most used with good results. Appreciate and suggestions and Thank you in advance for any help.

The shop also said I could re-use the OE sensors. Is that cool?

Definitely re-use oe sensors if their in good shape. Magnaflow has a ypipe cat setup that's gtg. They also sell a separate cat to bolt in for the 2nd one.

Yeah, cats are restrictive. Unless maybe you're talking about going from 2 side by side to a single inlet I can't see losing power, and any losses probably won't be noticeable.
