I thought OME shackles are 3" in front and 3.5" in rear.

Yeah I have the 589 seris which look very close to those.

Mark

Just measured them on my truck - 3-1/4" on the front and 3-1/2" on the rear as delivered from OME.

Overhanger...

I mesured the shackles:

Front were approx 7" long and 4" wide
Rear were approx 5.5" long and 3.5" wide

This measurement was taken from the outer edge of the shackle and not from the center of the bolts.

Did i measure them right? Or is there another way to mesure them.? :)

Good lookin rig dude, same color as the mudcrzr.

Same basic wheel as my Trail Ready beed locks.

Steve,

Are the longer shackles up front detrimental to anything?

When I first installed the OMEs a few years back, I mentioned the nose down stance on the 3FE list and Henry C pointed out that the longer shackles were in the rear and helped create the ass-end up look when the truck cargo area is empty. When loaded the truck stance evens out. If Mark's truck sits level now when empty, it will probably sag in the rear if the rear shackles are shorter than the front. Depends on what you like.

Mine were like the ones you run, I thought that maybe I could get a little more lift in the front, but I like the slightly raked look.

Hey guys...the truck sits very level. Iam not sure why Edwin put thoses shacles on.
I measured the rear shackles - they look the same but smaller - 3.5 mesurement between the bolts.

Iam going to see him next week to have some work done on the truck - I'll ask him.
