Someone refresh my memory, why won't this work? is it the wheels well locations or the frame mounting points? Found a pristine 2wd bed today, and it's even the right color.

i do believe that is the only difference, and i refer to it as the 4x4 trucks have a bubbled out fender the 2x's do not. if you live in a state that says the wheels have to stay inside the fender wells, you could have a problem, if not it does not matter.

Yeah I have heard of people getting tickets for tire coverage, but if you run big tires you will probably have those problems anyway. FWIW Black95, I noticed that you live in CO. I wheel in Tx & the southwest (Blanca peak is one of my favorites for family camping) & I've never gotten a ticket for flares/mudflaps/tire coverage.

Colorado is pretty easy going when it comes to 4x4's. you see guys here driving truggies on the street. I moved here from Louisiana, and there it was all about headlight height, and occasionally tires sticking out. Anyway, I will most likely go pick up this bed, It's and older style bed with the rails, I think that's pretty cool. Are all the mounts going to line up or will I have to weld new ones?
