Happy New Year to our TX brethren! We wanted to get word out for all you TX guys and gals to put the 2nd Annual Mardi Krawl on your calendars if you haven't done so already. It will be April 10 - 13, 2014 at Hawk Pride Mountain ORV Park in Tuscumbia, AL again. I know it's a long haul but will certainly be worth it if you can make it.

We've made a few changes for this coming year's event like the Endless Horizon Expedition Outfitters guys will be cooking some cajun food for us (not only can they help you trick out your ride but they are all from the New Orleans area and can cook some great cajun food) for Fri night's dinner AND we will have Matt Stell performing on Fri night as well. We are also raising money for the La Lions Camp, a non-profit that gives kids with disabilities the opportunity to go to summer camp and be just like all the other kids. This is provided FREE of charge to the families of the kids that participate in the camp. One of our own LLK members had a relative attend the camp and now he and his family volunteer lots of time and raise money for the camp through various venues. We will have a general raffle and a charity raffle. The charity raffle prize has been graciously donated by Suzy Brown from Brown Forensic Accounting. Plus we are looking to have a charity downhill "race" but we are still working out the details on this.

Be on the lookout for the Jan - Feb Toyota Trails as there will be an ad for Mardi Krawl in there. If you register BEFORE Feb 1, you will get $10 off.

You can always keep up with what's going on at our website and our FaceBook page:

We look forward to seeing some of the White Trash out there.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!!

Just an FYI, Mardi Krawl is a Toyota Land Cruiser Association open event held at Hawk Pride Mountain Offroad, which is a public park that is open to the public during our event. That means that anyone in any brand of 4X4 is welcome to join us! Tell your friends who do and don't drive a Toyota that they are more than welcome to register and join us for a weekend of fun. However, you may want to warn the non-Toyota owners that being around so many great rigs can be contagious. They may have the urge to sell their rig and buy a Toyota soon after Mardi Krawl.

For those who were asking about the RV pads, all the RV pads are currently booked. But Mark said he should have 8 more pads leveled and ready to use for our event, they probably won't have water or power to them yet. So if you want to bring a generator, you can set up your RV / Camper / Toyhauler on one of those. Call the park to put one on reserve. 256.349.4150

Early registration will close on March 31. If you're considering this event, and you really should, get registered before it closes. You can still register at the park during the event but we cannot guarantee to have a t-shirt or driver bag filled with goodies for you.

Just over 1 week until early registration closes. Get those orders in to ensure you get a shirt and a goody bag but most importantly so you have a great weekend of fun. :D

For those coming to the 2nd Annual Mardi Krawl, looks like the concession stand will be open Fri for lunch, Sat for breakfast / lunch and Sun for breakfast. Bring what you need for Thur and Fri morning. Give Chris, LaShawn and the crew at the concession stand a reason to be there Fri - Sun. You won't be disappointed. The food is great and you always get greeted with a smile.
