2lt egt placement

Hey wondering were to the best place to put an egt prob is, post or pre turbo on a 2lt. And what egts are normal.

Pre turbo is always best. But it in the exhaust manifold right before the turbo. Factory they sit around 1300F max from what I've seen. If you intercool and increase the boost pressure, you can increase fueling and still drop that down to about 1000F max. Gives lots of extra power too.
