2L-Te engine oil leaks

Hi there,
The 2L-Te on my LJ78 has consumed more than half the engine oil in 2 months/about 1500km after service. There are oil leaks around the air intake and recently around injector of one cylinder. Blue smoke on start but in clears up. I also has a hardstart when warm, especially when just driven.

Oil is also being sucked in by the turbo, probably from top cover vent. Fuel consumption is has not changed much. One only feels engine when turbo is on and to get turbo is a huge effort. It loses all power even on a slight incline. It still drives but no power is it time to overhaul?

Sounds like you've got a few problems there. I doubt it needs a overhaul, probably just a bunch of TLC. Have you kept it well maintained, or just drive it until there is a problem?

Where are you located? Does 'vic' in your handle mean Victoria BC Canada? If so, I could take a look at your engine for you and give you a bunch of ideas/help.
