Is the 2L diesel engine that was installed in the North American Toyota pickup (1982) the same 2L engine that was also available in the short wheel base 70 Series?

2446 normally aspirated. Yes, I believe so.

They may not be, here is Australia the hilux's run the non electronic 2L's, I'm pretty sure we didn't get the swb 70 sereies (in a 2L anyway) but I would presume that they would run the electronic 2L. But I may be totally wrong though
