Incorrect. The 5M can use the frame mounts but not the motor mounts and can use the G/W series bellhousing. The 7M-GTE requires more motor mount work and CANNOT bolt directly to any 22r series transmission. It requires a custom bellhousing in order to bolt to anything (recommended R150/151). See www.supracharged.com for more info.

The 7m-gte will in fact bolt to any g or w series using a 5m bell-housing (same as the NA 7m). The custom bell-housing referenced is to bolt the 7m block to an R series, r-150 (v6) or r-151(22rte). The 7mgte originally came with an r154 which uses a pull type clutch to handle the extra HP, which causes the input shaft to be about an inch longer (as well as different gear ratios.).

I've heard that some have solved the motor mount issue buy using a combination of the 5m mount in conjunction with the 22r mounts. I don't have any other specifics though...

I agree that the ideal tranny would be an r-151, lower 1st gear and marlins stuff bolts up. The r-150 would be good also but you need an adapter to hook up 4cyl t-cases. The downfall to both of these is getting the standard clutch to handle the boost.
