Got the 2h out today. Yeah! Is it ok to remove the injection pump as long as the front crank pulley is at the top dead centre (tdc)?

Verify this by removing the valve cover and verifying that #1 rockers are loose, you can be 180 degrees off otherwise

Ok, spun the crank to see if all those numbers would align, definitely would need to spin it a few times. The woodruf key when vertical with the engine is similar to the pulley marking the timing case cover tdc. I had 0 meeting 0 at one stage but the first two rockers were not moving. Turned the crank another 360 and the first two rockers are loose. But also my rockers 4,5,8 and 9 are loose. Is this ok? So if I use my paint pen to mark the cogs , am I ready to pull the pump?
