For a complete vehicle less than 25 years old, you will need all kinds of paperwork that is not available. USA Emission specs on the Vin Tag, etc.
 
If I wasn't low on money, a day's drive away, and moving a further day's drive away in a month, I'd really like to pick this up to do a 5-speed swap into one of my 62s. But it's not in the cards. :frown:

bummer, I guess a lack of axles do not "parts" make eh? I'd love to have it but its not in the cards money wise..

Yeah, the border folks told me that if it had a motor in it, it would be classified as a running vehicle. No axles is an easy fix. Bummer.
 
I think if you declare it parts, they will allow it in. I have already sent one across with a guy who took it for parts. That one was running (we drove it onto the trailer) and he had no problem importing it for a diesel swap.

I should be getting this truck today. I will be parting it out and I will be making a trip as far south as Phoenix, AZ in late April/early May heading down I-15 (preferred 'cause it's more direct to where I'm going) or I-25 (if you can convince me it's worthwhile to add those miles). Heading back via I-5 so pretty much open for delivery in the Western US. You'll need to look after any duties and taxes and a little help with travel costs is always appreciated.

I'd like to sell the engine whole along with the wiring harness which would be all someone needs to turn an FJ60 into an HJ60 but if there are no takers by mid-April I may part it out.

As you know, the axles and springs are gone and the tranny/transfer is spoken for that leaves everything else available. The 2H bolts up to the same tranny as the 2F so don't let the lack of a tranny worry you.

I have not run the truck, seen it or heard it run but if the engine can be run I'll start it, warm it up and take some compression numbers before pulling it.
