Have a 2F engine for sale in northeast PA near Paragon and Rausch Creek offroad parks. It's the original engine still in a running 87 FJ60. 126K miles on the clock. Starts great, runs quiet and no noticeable smoke from the exhaust. The older gentleman I bought this truck from drove it 65 miles to my house for the sale- it was his daily driver until the rear corossmember broke off due to rust. He replaced the 60 with an 80 series. This a strong engine, the carburetor is good, no exhaust leaks, ready to drop in. Price $550 includes gear drive starter, fuel pump and original lines, AC compressor, air cleaner and all smog components, bellhousing, flywheel and good clutch assembly. Of course all the front end components are there and intact (water pump, clutch fan, smog pump, alternator and all that jazz). Don't know if the AC compressor is good or not, I never tried the AC. Will leave the (good shape, not leaking makes no noise) power steering pump in place for an additional $50. This is a great year for the 2F; has the best electronic distributor, mounting provisions for the factory PS bracket and pump, and the desirable lighter weight valve components. It's the best year for the 2F engine according to Jim C. I believe this would be a great engine to just drop into a vehicle and have no troubles. I've sold a lot of engines to satisfied cruiser owners over the years and believe this engine to be as good as any. Prefer a buyer who can pick up the engine but will ship from the freight dock where I work at buyer's expense if buyer makes all arrangements for pickup and payment.
