got The truck over the summer and overall it was pretty well maintained. Changes out all the fluids and a bunch of hoses that had dry rotted (including brake and clutch soft lines). Now I’m getting around to the vacuum hoses that were all cracking including the brake booster line

Here’s the original heater hose which was amazing good... still has the original hose binder so I figure it has to be original

Of course, the worst of it was getting the PCV grommet out. The valve was cemented in the grommet as was the grommet to the valve cover. I thought I could drill around the grommet and break it up in order to remove it but as I had feared , it just broke off inside the valve cover so I had to remove the cover and clean it out. Surprised how nice it was inside.

You need to upgrade to a double roller timing chain while you're at it.
 
Nice work!!! Those old Toyota's will take a beating with basically zero s***s given. bit and oil and she'll run for another 30yrs.... Maybe
