24v Hj61 AC bezel light has no power (1 Viewer)

Posted this in the 60 section but figured I'd ask here as well...

The 12v2w light bulb was burnt out on the AC bezel in my 1987 HJ61. Ordered a new bulb from the dealer and still didn’t work, even when all the dash lights turn on after turning headlights on. Took the bezel off and followed the wires back into the dash and no power to the connector pictured. Anyone know where these “?” wires pictured lead so I can further chase them, hopefully without removing the dash? The truck is 24v.

I have some pictures attached, along with the part number for the festoon bulb. Thanks.

Right footwell behind the plastic cover.
There is a white long square resistor.
Makes 12v out of 24v.

Yes,
Both my LHD hj60 and LHD hj61 have this in the rght footwell.

I tested the voltage on the contacts for the bulb, anywhere from 7-9 volts. Sporadic for sure.

Wanted to close the loop on this. @sved, thanks so much for the insight, found a used resistor to swap out and now I have HVAC lights. Its working with my 12v bulb. The part was not available through Amayama.
