I'm hoping to find some advice on a vehicle alarm and the search function reveals most of the previous threads are pretty old and event the more recent stuff is not conclusive.

Is vehicle theft very low in areas that have more of these 24v systems? Canada? Aus? etc?

Are semi trucks mostly 24v systems? I'll dig into that question tomorrow and see if there is an option I can use.

In the mean time.... I have a 1990 JDM HZJ73 1Hz w/ a 24v system and I want to have an anti theft vehicle alarm installed but most everything I can find in the US is 12v specific and running them on a 24v system even with converters appears to have drawbacks I'd prefer to avoid if possible.

Does anyone here know of any 24v specific options?

THANKS!

ETA: the below alarm was brought to my attention, and while I'll go that route I'd prefer to explore other options of available.

Maybe a battery isolator switch to disable the starter?

I thought about an alarm when I first got my BJ74.
After a while I decided that it was too out of the ordinary for thieves unless they were going to keep it and drive it.
And if they kept it, they could not do so anywhere near here.
Now that I have a a soft top, I just trust to luck.
