fullthrottle
SILVER Star
I had an 80 series that was 24volt starting only. The rest of the truck was all 12volt.
Of course, there were two reasonably sized CCA 12 volt batteries used to deliver 24 volts to the starter motor. A lot of space taken up for two decent sized batteries.
The 1HDT hardly even had to crank a full revolution before it fired up. So wouldn't churn through the power. No electric winch either.
I would like to reduce the amount of space two 12volt batteries take up. Is there a better way of achieving this? Maybe smaller, compact 12volt batteries?
