'24 79 Series GXL rims on 100/105 series?

Hey all,

Has anybody put the new GXL rims on a 100 series?

I've just bought a 105 and I think these rims would look great but was hoping someone may have already done it and can share some pictures.

My 105 does already have aftermarket wheels (pictured) but I like the upgraded (but still Toyota) style of running the 79 wheels.

I would also like to go up to either 285/75R16, 305/70R16 or 255/85/R16 though not sure what would be best.

I have just realised that the 79 is part time 4x4 with front locking hubs, will these wheels be compatible with the 105?

The 105 (ie solid front axle) is 5x150 PCD with 0 offset. The factory alloys on most 78/79s are 16 x 8" 150PCD with 0 offset, so you should be ok. The center bore *should* be the same. CSA has a fitment guide for the 105 and the 78/79 which might help.
