22RE Fuel Economy

I am a fairly new owner of a 1987 4Runner ( 22RE ) and seem to be averaging approximately 22 mpg in a combination of city and highway driving. Are these fuel numbers in line with what others are experiencing?

I forgot to mention that I am running P235 / 75R15 tires along with a 5 speed transmission.

that is pretty much what i get. think my best average was 21.6mpg in the winter mostly driving at 70mph

That's just about what I get with 225/75/15 tires. Best highway mileage on a road trip was 26.
