Hi Guys, sorry this may not be the right location to post. I unfortunately smashed my left hand wing mirror into a metal pole :( - the cover (blizzard pearl) and glass survived but the black plastic assembly and indicator light got damaged. I'm looking for any advice on most cost effective way to fix this? When I look online at parts, I can see there is a wing mirror assembly for my model year for about $1k. I'm not sure I would be able to replace it so I may need Toyota to do the job which would mean I'm in for about $1500 I expect. Any other paths that you would recommend here? all the electrical and actual attachment to the car seems fine.

Insurance?

ye that is one option. It seems minor enough that I could potentially get this fixed without going through insurance. plus my deductible would be almost as much as the repair ($1k) - so wanted to just see if anyone else has gone through this and what their experience was

It looks like most of the components are available separately? (Except for the camera.)

Look over the parts on this list and scroll down a bit. I think the indicator light and the black housing are in there and a bunch cheaper than buying the whole thing. Might be more labor to install individual parts, though. Note that left/right are different part numbers.

Sandroad - thanks this is helpful. The signal lamp especially is helpful as that is one part that was damaged. However from that list and the diagram - I cannot figure out which component the black interior housing is - my only assumption is that comes with item #4? or perhaps not and maybe it only comes with the whole mirror assembly - which is back to the $1200 price point :(

Hmmmm.......I don't see that interior housing in item 4 in the diagram. Maybe it comes as part of the mirror cover?
