2013 Sequoia Rear Hatch Latch Not Working (1 Viewer)

My rear hatch will not latch. I close it, can hear the latch activate, but the hatch will not lock down and I can open it back up by hand.
With it open I can close and open the latch by hand. I assume that something has broken inside there and it needs to be replaced.
The button to auto close the hatch is also not working.
Has anyone replaced this part? Is it a easy job or does the entire back of rh hatch need to come off?

Yes. The latch part that locks on to the "U bolt" on the floor moves back and forth with finger pressure. The light gate will not lock. So I think it is broken. Trying to order a new one from Toyota.
