I'm new - this is my first post - since I'm new owner of a 2013 LX. Well... bought via carvana and have until the weekend to decide if I'll keep it, but I almost surely will because it's a pretty awesome vehicle.
I know there are like 8 different roof rack threads, so my apologies for adding another variant. My LX comes with rails but no cross bars on it. I'd like to add a set so I can use my existing bike rack and hopefully a kayak carrier in the near future. The problem I'm running into (no pun intended) is that I only have about 7" of clearance between the top of the rails and my garage door. I'm worried I'm going to run out of room of I add bars on top of the rails and then the other mounts. Ideas?
Since this is my first 200, I'm unfamiliar with the roof rails. It appears that there is a groove/slot in the middle of the stock rails. Is this where the stock cross bars mount? If I could mount them there then that would save me 1-2"
