Looking to upgrade lighting a bit. Factory headlights seem a bit yellow-ish and would prefer a brighter, whiter output. I know they are factory HID, but anyone upgrade them with a plug and play bulb solution? I'd like to avoid having something that will call for a modified dust cover

The foglights are incredibly yellow and I would like to upgrade those to match the headlights. I hear 2014 got LED standard, has anyone found a plug and play bulb option to achieve what I'm after?

TIA Mud members!

Bumping this up as I have the same vehicle and the same question. Thanks all!

Lots of info on this board about this topic.

Hikari is a very popular brand due to their low profile heat sync-no issues fitting under the housing dust cap.

I ran the same bulbs in my fog lights too but hated them. Definitely tons of photons but no contrast.

If you want more yellow I recommend Hella optilux halogens.

if you want to keep going pick up a set of SAE Baja squadron fog lights with a Tacoma or tundra fit kit. 90% drop in.

Yellow works better in the fog. If you are talking about using them in non-foggy conditions, that is something else altogether. The 2013 HIDs on my rig are easily the equal of the other half dozen HID setups on other vehicles we use. IMHO the LED beam control is inferior. My guess is that most LED setups are targeting a different audience. Not all, but most.

Thanks for the info. First hand experience is always a big help when doing research.

Found two versions of the Tundra / Tacoma kit depending on model year. Which one works best for the 2013 LX570?
