Hey guys,

Just noticed that the 200 series has a 24 gallon plus gas tank.

We are getting around 15 gallons max per fill. On a road trip took a few months ago, it allowed us to put in a good deal over that, we kind of freaked out.

Curious what would cause that, or if anyone else has run into this? If so, what would the fix be?

Thanks!

What are you using to determine "Empty"? When my Range =0 on my '08 LC I fill 19-20 gal if I immediately fill up at Range=0. Regularly I'll go 50-60 miles past there and put in 22ish gallons.

Yes range = 0. So it just reads super conservative?

That's my experience. Range=0 is most conservative, followed very shortly by fuel light. Fuel light has ~4-5 gallons left.

Awesome I'll take a closer look next fill up. It's hooked up to our jet skis right now, using the LX470 in the mean time. Probably take them out one last time lol

I always put in a lot more than 15 gallons when I'm at "0" with my 2011. Like others have said, I usually get 19 gallons or slightly more, which leaves 5 gallons in reserve. I wonder if your sending unit is on the fritz.

Wouldn't shock me, seems low. Like I mentioned earlier, there was that one time on the 5000 mile trip we just took, where the gas just kept going. Well over 4-5 gallons more than most times. I don't think we were bone bone dry either. I'll need to run it down to close to zero and see exactly how much goes in.

Read your owner's manual.

From the 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser's manual, page 610:

Low fuel level warning light Indicates that remaining fuel is about 4.0 gal. (15.0 L, 3.3 Imp. gal.) or less.

If I run my LC until the range shows 0 and the low fuel light is on, I typically have another ~5 gallons left in the tank.
