Uh NO. I'd charge 1.5-2 hours at most for a 5.7 to scope under intake, pressure test cooling system, check leak down.

On a more constructive note, it seems to me that if you were losing that much coolant to the valley plate, dried coolant may very well be visible underneath the vehicle on the bell housing.
