2011 LC - couple small holes in muffler

and rusty clamp between tailpipe and muffler. Holes are on one of the pipes attached and leading into the muffler. Dealer wants $1300 to replace tailpipe and muffler.

Don't want a louder sound.

Looks like I can get a new Toyota muffler online for $450. Still seems expensive. Most of the old threads seem to be about getting a louder sound. We have a local muffler place and a decent Midas chain shop.

What's a good choice for a simple replacement muffler with no special sound effects?

Do you mean the resonator?

That thing is basically unnecessary. I lopped mine off about a year ago—replacing it with just pipe...and there is practically no sound difference. I can tell when standing right behind it at idle, but in the cabin, it’s like a non-issue, and certainly sounds like a normal exhaust. No annoyance factor at all.
