No audio bug

My 2011LC recently got the dreaded no audio bug. My screen says “No Audio” – no sound, no Bluetooth. Everything else seems to work for the most part. Screen will still control the ac, back up camera works (most of the time), old nav does its thing.

I’ve been down the rabbit hole on this one. From reading through the forum 9/10 it’s a problem with a short in the dvd player closing an audio loop and causing failure. Audio Solutions in Florence, MS has checked for that problem – not it. Fuses seem fine.

He ran some tests and thinks the amp is fine. Solution – mail the factory headunit off and have it repaired.

Another option the audio shop recommended is to have a Phoenix Audio tesla style unit installed. All in – the Phoenix may be a touch cheaper solution (assuming the head unit is the solution).

Do any of you have experience with this? Any advice?
