Howdy folks! I'm new! I'm in Denver and have owned a lifted 09 Xterra for many years. But I don't really off-road or do any trails anymore and I do need to start towing and driving across states this year so I thought I'd upgrade the Xterra to something a little more spacious that will have a more comfortable time towing a larger trailer.

Picked up a 2008 Limited with 154K miles on Saturday. Mechanically feels solid but needs some minor repairs here and there.

It's clean underneath! And everything looks factory/original but this is also my first Toyota so I'm just assuming.
The driver side rear looks just as clean. The air suspension bellows looks like they're in good shape are don't show any signs of damage.

Everything underneath is really clean except the exhaust of course. Frame rails are spotless.

The driveshaft looks awfully clean for being 18 years old. It does look aluminum though, which is probably why it looks so clean still. Is that factory?

Engine bay is mostly spotless except for some minor rust under the battery. The firewall especially is spotless. Hell, even the hoses looked newish. So either this was just extremely well cared for (never seen 18 year old hoses this clean though) or someone did a pretty extensive detail and replaced them all.

I could probably spend some time fixing the fins on the trans cooler. The cooler itself looks clean but the fins have taken a beating for sure.

Inside the fuse box might be telling me a different story, though. Seems odd to be that dirty/dusty when the rest of the engine bay is as clean as it is. So that's why I'm guessing it was just detailed really well recently.

Those hoses do NOT look 18 years old to me :P

Interior I think is where it needs the most attention, and I don't even think it needs THAT much.
Front seat needs to be re-upholstered. I'm waiting for a sample set of leather from LSeat so I can replace the front and back covers entirely.
Is there a recommended supplier for new seat foam? That's probably not necessary, but if I'll have the covers off, that would be the perfect time to replace the foam as well.

Rear just needs a little bit of detailing.

Which 2 switches am I missing?

The headliner around the driver side of the sun roof looks like it's not secured to the roof.

Few things around the exterior need to be addressed. All 4 windows have trim that look like this.

Is this a common failure point and "fix"? I intend to replace all the window seals.

The lift gate handle looks like it might have been modified but I'm not sure what a OEM handle looks like. Was there a piece of rubber added to this or is this factory rubber that's just disintegrating? Makes it difficult to press the release button so I wanna know the best fix for this.

Tires are alright and will get me through the rest of the winter but I should probably replace them before summer.

Things that need to be addressed but are non-urgent.

-Both + and - battery cable ends are corroded and need to be replaced.
-Missing the battery hold down strap.
-Drive side 2nd row seat needs a new position adjustment handle.
-Missing a volume not for the 2nd row.
-Driver rear door makes that clunking sound when opening and closing so I think it needs a new door plunger thing. Whatever that is that has the indents so the door stops at those points.
-The headlight washer motors don't seem to work. Maybe I'm not using them right but nothing happens when I push the button.
-Lift gate struts are on their way out.
-And the biggest thing I need to address is the lift gate window doesn't roll down. It definitely makes noise like it wants to, but nothing happens. So maybe it needs a new regulator.

Urgent things to address in the next week or so.

-Replace all fluids. I couldn't get a service history so I have no idea when any of them were changed. The oil and coolant look clean, but without knowing when they were changed, I'd rather just change them now and restart the clock.
-Replace brake pads and rotors. There's a vibration when applying light pressure to the brakes that goes away under heavy breaking. So I'm betting the rotors are a little warped.

And that's it I guess! I paid $9200 for it, which feels like a great deal considering what's for sale around here. And I'm hoping (aside from the seat covers) that the rest of the concerns aren't too pricey.
